Care Goondiwindi relies on the financial support and donations of local businesses and individuals to enable a wide range of programmes, projects and activities to be delivered that are above and beyond our funding body requirements.  We would like to thank our supporters for the contributions and sponsorship and list below the support we have received to date.

2017 - Charity Bike Ride

Medico Transport Services – Cycle QLD Fundraiser

A Big Thank You to our local bike riders Angus and Sandie Wilson, Marg Jackson, Helen Dimond, Pauline Rae & Dr Rowena Sheppard who completed the Charity Bike Ride and raised $1,922 to go towards the Care Goondiwindi’s – Medico Transport Services. A special thank you to the following people who donated to this worthwhile cause Anna Carswell, Lea Wood, Jodi Whittle, Brian & Julie Duddy, Mary Woods, Sally Cooper, Peter McMurtrie, Kerry Corrish, Anglican Op Shop, Njarie Davidson, John & Glenda Rigney, Moria Thompson, Norma McKinlay, Bill Fleming, Anita White, Jan & Bruce Waller and the numerous people who donated anonymously.

"Resting Place of the Birds"

The Wall Mural painted on the water tanks near the Old McIntyre Bridge, is an initiative of Care Goondiwindi in celebrations of this years NAIDOC Theme – Songlines: The living narrative of our nation. Care was successful in gaining funding from The Department of Prime Minister Cabinet for their “Connecting Country & People” project aimed to engage and inspire Indigenous community artist’s from both the Bigambul and Kamilaroi people, in the creation of a wall mural which reflects the Aboriginal meaning of Goondiwindi.
This project was supported by the Goondiwindi Regional Council as part of Council’s Corp Plan, Community Plan & Cultural Policy towards tourism in the local area.

Care Goondiwindi’s – Bus Appeal

Care would like to thank the local business and community members for their kind donations towards the Care Goondiwindi Bus Appeal to purchase a Second hand Bus. This support has enabled Care Goondiwindi to continue to deliver services to families, youth, people with a disability and seniors in our town and district.

Gundy Gallop Colour Run – 2016

The Gundy Gallop Colour Run, is a new community event held by Care Goondiwindi & the PCYC – Goondiwindi with all funds raised going back into the community. What a great family day and some wonderful feedback – everyone cannot wait until 2017.
